Not that I did anything
The energy it took to remain idle
And function on the right side of normal was huge.
Today is the post inertia day
But lethargy is an unwelcome guest.
Outside the day is bright and a whole world of possibilities still exist
and I am in hiding from its light
Waiting for the right time, when the doing will start.
Healing runs in time with demand
Unchecked I am held in its thrall
Making just small steps, keeping to the path
But when the call to engage is made I will respond
When the push becomes a shove
I will turn my hand to the plough
And sow the seed of good will
nurtured by love and kindness
my strength will return and flow
through all the days of my life
But just for now the waiting goes on.
